Faster time-to-impact
Leaders made meaningful contributions within their first few months, despite the organization’s conservative pace.

Participants valued dedicated coaching during their transition, and many said they hadn’t realized how much they needed the support until they had it.
Three-way alignment meetings set clear expectations and created shared accountability between coach, leader and manager.
Confidential coaching gave leaders room to have frank discussions, test strategies and be challenged without risk.
Leaders starting new roles at this Fortune 500 company faced connected obstacles that made it hard to establish credibility and deliver results.
Cultural pace: The organization’s conservative, risk-averse culture required collaboration and buy-in at every stage. That slowed progress for leaders coming from faster-paced environments.
Time and bandwidth: Heavy workloads, unfilled positions, demanding travel schedules and delayed program starts kept leaders from fully applying coaching insights within the intended 100-day window.
Stakeholder complexity: Leaders struggled to gain traction with multiple, overlapping decision-makers across countries and functions. They were sometimes left out of conversations that directly affected their goals.
Direction gaps: Some managers were new to their own roles or stretched too thin to give clear direction, which created uncertainty when leaders needed guidance most. Ongoing leadership changes further limited strategic clarity.
The organization wanted to speed up time-to-impact for newly placed executives. Executive turnover is costly, and every month a new leader spends misaligned delays the return on that hire.
The company needed a structured coaching program that would give new leaders confidential, contextual support during their first critical months. The program also had to build strong partnerships with managers, reduce the risk of early misalignment and protect the organization’s investment in executive talent.
We integrated our First 100 Days coaching program into the company’s leadership transition process between June and November 2025. The program gave each leader structured, confidential support tailored to their challenges and combined three core elements:
Individual coaching sessions. One-on-one confidential coaching gave leaders a safe space to work through challenges, test strategies and develop approaches that fit their situation and the organization’s culture.
Manager alignment meetings. Structured three-way conversations with each leader’s direct manager set clear expectations, working style preferences and development plans. These meetings built partnership and shared accountability for the leader’s success.
Ongoing strategic guidance. Continuous support throughout the transition helped leaders handle new challenges, adjust strategies in real time and keep momentum despite competing demands.
