Social Media Intern

Careerminds is seeking a social media intern to create content for and manage our various social media channels. You will be covering HR topics with a focus on offboarding, reductions in force, and career transition. The ideal candidate will work well under strict deadlines and is interested in a career in marketing.

Careerminds is a virtual outplacement and career management provider. We combine cutting-edge technology with personalized, one-on-one career coaching, which allows us to deliver customized services to anyone, anywhere at a lower cost than traditional firms.

Our marketing strategy focuses on providing resources to HR professionals at every stage of their careers.

What We’re Looking For

A college student, or someone looking to make a switch to a marketing/social media-driven career. This person should have knowledge of the following social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Pinterest. They should also have some basic design skills to create images in tools like Canva.

You will have set meetings every week with our marketing team during the day (we can work to make these around a class schedule), but your work can be completed anytime throughout the day/week before deadlines.

This position will be 100% remote, so the intern should be extremely responsible and reliable. Preferred location in Kansas City, Pittsburgh, or Philadelphia to meet up with a team member for the rare project.

Duties

Creating content specifically for each social media platform: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Pinterest.

Managing our various communities: 2 Facebook groups, a LinkedIn group, and potentially a private Instagram channel for our participants.

Schedule content ahead of time using HubSpot.

Respond to all comments and engagement on the platform in a timely fashion.

Retweet/repost/etc trending content in our industry.
